1. The service
VoxisLive is a real-time voice-translation software ecosystem provided across desktop software (Windows and Linux) and browser extensions (Chrome, Edge, Chromium). VoxisLive is distributed as a managed service: we supply AI access and you use account minutes. A limited, source-available excerpt of the engine is separately published on GitHub for transparency; a previously-offered open-source / BYOK build has been discontinued and is no longer distributed, though Section 7 continues to govern any copy still in use. Translation relies on third-party AI providers (Google Gemini Live API and Alibaba Cloud Qwen Realtime API). By creating an account, downloading, or using VoxisLive desktop apps or browser extensions, you accept these Terms.
2. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and accept responsibility for all activity on your account. Minimum age is 18, with the legal capacity to enter this agreement.
3. Minutes, billing and renewals
Paid usage is measured in translated minutes. Minute packs are one-time purchases added to your account instantly; pack minutes never expire while your account is active.
Plans. Where we offer a plan (Plus, Premium or Ultra), it is a subscription that adds the plan's monthly minutes to your account at the start of every month — on an annual plan too, month by month rather than all at once. A plan renews automatically at the end of each billing period (monthly or yearly, as chosen at checkout), and each renewal is charged to your payment method through our merchant of record, Polar, until you cancel. The price, the billing period and any introductory price are shown at checkout before you pay. An introductory price (such as a reduced first month) applies only to the plan and the period stated; after it, the plan renews at its regular price.
Roll-over and expiry. Plan minutes you do not use carry over to the next month, up to a plan balance of twice the plan's monthly minutes (360 minutes on Plus, 960 on Premium, 2,000 on Ultra). At each renewal, plan minutes above that cap expire. When a plan ends, the plan minutes left at the end of the last paid period expire. Pack minutes never count toward the cap and never expire.
Plan changes. When you move to another plan with the same billing period, an upgrade (to a plan with more monthly minutes) applies immediately: the prorated price difference for the rest of the current billing period is charged to your payment method at once, and the prorated share of the additional monthly minutes is added to your account. A downgrade takes effect at the next renewal; until then your current plan and its minutes stay as they are. To switch between monthly and yearly billing, cancel the plan and choose the new one when the current period ends.
Order of use. Plan minutes are used first; pack minutes are used only once your plan minutes have run out.
Cancellation. You can cancel a plan at any time, in one step, in the billing portal on your account page. Cancellation stops all future charges; the plan and its minutes stay available until the end of the period you have already paid for. If a renewal payment fails, the plan stays active while the payment is retried; if it still cannot be collected, the plan ends. Refunds and the 14-day withdrawal right are covered in section 4 and in our Refund Policy.
Every new account receives a one-time credit of 15 complimentary minutes of the standard managed voice; this credit does not renew. Beyond that credit, and beyond any purchased minutes, an account retains a free allowance of 10 translated minutes per day, delivered with an on-device voice; the allowance resets daily, does not accumulate, and has no cash value.
4. Refunds & Cancellation
Consumers have a statutory 14-day withdrawal right. Because live translation starts immediately, minutes you have already used are deducted pro rata from the refund, and fully used minute packs are not refunded. Plans can be cancelled at any time and end when the paid period ends. Our Refund Policy sets out the details, including plans and the BYOK License. The prorated amount charged for a plan upgrade is treated the same way: within 14 days of that payment, the minutes already used are deducted pro rata from its refund.
5. Acceptable use & Audio Consent Warranty
You must not resell or abuse the service or its quota; attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or bypass authentication, device limits, or billing measures; or use the service unlawfully. When using VoxisLive in Meeting Mode or capturing third-party audio, you expressly warrant that you have obtained all legally required consents from all call participants under applicable wiretapping, eavesdropping, and privacy laws. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VoxisLive and its developers against any third-party claims, fines, or damages arising from your failure to obtain required audio consent.
6. Account Suspension, Banning & Termination Rights
VoxisLive reserves the absolute, unilateral right to suspend, restrict, block, or permanently terminate your account, API access, device access (device_hash), or IP address at any time, with or without prior notice, if you breach these Terms, attempt to exploit billing controls, or use the service unlawfully. Upon account termination or blocking for breach, all unused minutes and credits are immediately forfeited without any right to refund or compensation.
7. Third-party dependencies
Translation (Google Cloud / Gemini, Alibaba Cloud / Qwen), payment processing, and email (Resend) operate under their respective providers' terms. If you use a previously obtained BYOK build, you are solely responsible for compliance with Google's or Alibaba's API terms and any charges incurred under your key.
8. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. Machine translation accuracy is not guaranteed; AI output may contain errors or hallucinations. Do not rely on VoxisLive for high-stakes, legal, medical, emergency, or safety-critical communication.
9. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, VoxisLive's total aggregate liability is capped at the amounts you paid to VoxisLive in the preceding 12 months (or $50 for free/legacy-BYOK users). Statutory consumer protections that cannot be waived remain unaffected.
10. Governing law & Contact
