Terms of Service

1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using Voxis (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. The Service is operated by Davut Akça, an independent developer based in Türkiye.
2. The Service
Voxis is a real-time voice-translation desktop application for Windows. It is offered in two forms: an official managed (SaaS) build where we provide the translation key per session, and an open-source build on GitHub where you supply your own Google Gemini API key (BYOK). Translation is performed by Google Gemini Live.
3. Accounts
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account.
- You must be at least 18 and legally able to enter into this agreement.
4. Plans, billing & minutes
- Paid plans are billed monthly via Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your account billing portal; access continues until the end of the paid period.
- Plans include a monthly allowance of translated minutes; one-time top-up packs add extra minutes.
- New accounts receive 15 free minutes on sign-up.
- Prices are shown on the pricing page and may change with notice. Taxes may apply.
- Refunds. If you are a consumer, you have a 14-day right to withdraw from a purchase. Because the Service is supplied digitally and starts immediately, any minutes you have already used will be deducted from your refund, calculated pro rata against the amount paid.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to: resell or abuse the Service or its quota; attempt to circumvent quota, authentication, or abuse-prevention; use the Service unlawfully or to process content you have no right to; or interfere with the Service's operation.
6. Open-source build & BYOK
The open-source build is licensed under PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 — see the license page. In BYOK mode you use your own Google Gemini API key and are responsible for complying with Google's terms and for any charges Google bills you.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on Google Gemini Live (translation), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email). Your use of those features is also subject to those providers' terms.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is". Machine translation is not perfect; we do not warrant that translations are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Do not rely on it for high-stakes, legal, medical, or safety-critical communication.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Davut Akça is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including your mandatory rights as a consumer.
10. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date and, where required, notified to you.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and the courts of Türkiye have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you are a consumer, you retain the benefit of any mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country where you live.
